For the last two Trans Prides in Brighton, I decided to set aside my beloved camera and try something different. It was an opportunity to experiment and capture the essence of the event using different equipment.

2023 - A Different Perspective

In 2023, I shot with a borrowed Fujifilm GFX 50S camera. This medium format camera provided a unique perspective and incredible detail. The colours, vibrancy, and emotions at Trans Pride were captured beautifully. Here are a few selected images from that day.

2024 - A New Approach with Canon

In 2024, I decided to try something different again. This time, I used a borrowed Canon EOS 5D camera along with a Yongnuo 50mm f/1.8 lens for Canon EF mount. This combination enabled me to focus on intricate details.

Here are the images from the 2024 Trans Pride.

Lessons Learned From Two Years of Photography

Both years offered unique challenges and learning experiences. Using different cameras helped me better understand both the Fujifilm and Canon systems. I learned how to adapt to different settings and environments, each with its own personality.

In conclusion, photographing Trans Pride in Brighton has been an enriching experience. It allowed me to explore different photographic techniques and showcase the beautiful spirit of the LGBTQ+ community. If you want to experience the beauty and pride of this event for yourself, I encourage you to visit Trans Pride Brighton.

As I reflect on these past experiences, I look forward to continuing my photographic journey celebrating diversity and inclusion.
