“Leo Cook volunteered with IPBio – Biodiversity Research Institute for 4 weeks toward the end of 2025 and I think he proved the saying "a picture is worth a thousand words" as his work really speaks for itself! 
I think what was most impressive about the portfolio of photographs Leo produced is the sheer diversity in terms of content, style and concepts. From wildlife to landscapes, from people to places, from research to culture, Leo captured it all and this is a valuable skill in and of itself. I really couldn’t have asked for anymore!
However, behind the fantastic photos is an eager, curious and engaged photographer who want to make the best of his short period in the Amazon rainforest. Leo was always professional, punctual and pragmatic in his work and I believe his engagement with the research activities also allowed him to understand better what he was photographing and the ecological aspects of nature that come through in his photography. Anyone organization would be lucky to have Leo on their team!”
